Another Brooklyn native,
Charmel (pronounced Car-Mel) is truly a rare breed. Not only is the 21 year old
FemC (female MC) blessed with good looks and hot lyrics but her ability to
compel an audience and passion to succeed is astounding. She is featured on 6
tracks on the Dollar Signs LP (more
than any other artist). Including the song titled "4 Minutes (Save
NY)" where on the opening verse she delivers a full plate of food-for-thought.
Some of Charmel's biggest influences include MC Lyte, Queen Latifah,
Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige. These influences insure that every song she
writes has a message that not only fits the song but also sticks to the
listener. Add the fire she spits with a hot flow that's like lighter
fluid...and you have one very dangerous combination.
